Nose
Instant hit of fresh, sweet peat with a hint of sour brine, tobacco, caramel, cinnamon, dark chocolate, malty undertones, some vanilla, hints of peach and red apples.
Palate
Straight in to oil, sweetish smoke, tar and soot, cloves, coffee beans, a peat punch with cracked, black pepper and an oak tang.
Finish
Long and sweet, with a finally balanced smoky spice - big and bold.
Overall
We really enjoy this Big Peat, the cask strength really brings this range to life. Very powerful and rich in flavours.
