Product Sales & Terms

VAT

Prices shown on listings pages include excise duty and VAT at the rate currently applicable in the U.K. VAT is not added to selected Rare Whiskies as these items are sold on behalf of personal collectors and deemed as second hand goods.

Delivery Charges & Conditions

You must be over 18 years of age, and of legal age to purchase alcohol in your home country, to order from us. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and the minimum legal age for purchasing alcohol products in your country of residence.

All our products are safely and securely delivered using Airsac protective packaging. Any bottle that comes with a presentation box/tube will be removed from the box and placed within an Airsac to protect the glass. Failure to do so will cause the glass bottle to move within the presentation box/tube, causing damage. The purchaser understands that we have safely removed the glass bottle from any packaging and placed it within an Airsac. The presentation box/tube itself will be safely wrapped in bubble wrap or similar protective packaging. It is very important that you safely deflate the Airsac before attempting to remove items, damage to labels or seals maybe caused when attempting to remove from an Airsac that is still inflated. Deflate by carefully piercing air pockets, taking care not to damage the contents within.

Bulky packaging may be sent in separate parcels.

Please note that there are no despatches made on weekends or Bank Holidays. We aim to have your purchase with you within 5 working days.

Returns Policy

We want you to be 100% happy with your order and it is our aim to ensure that all products supplied to all customers arrive in perfect condition. You have the right to cancel your order at any time without being charged for the goods ordered within 14 days of purchasing (other than for perishable or personalised products or those products that have been specified as non-returnable).

If you have received your order and are unhappy with any of the products ordered, we will happily refund your money or exchange the products provided that you inform us of your intention to return the products within 14 days from the date of your order being delivered. However, we will only reimburse the cost of returning items where they were delivered in error or the items were damaged or defective.

Any products must be returned to us in good condition and in the original packaging. All refunds will be paid within 14 days of receiving the returned product(s).

You are responsible for the cost of returning products to us unless the items being returned were delivered in error or the items were damaged or defective. You are also responsible for insuring all returns as we might claim against you should damages be sustained. Any product that has any evidence of tampering or damage to security seals will not be refundable.

For the UK ONLY: If your parcel clearly shows signs of damage or leakage at the time of delivery, it should not be accepted. Please ask the courier to return the goods to us.

N.B We are unable to accept returns of any Rare or Sourced Bottles as these products are specifically sourced on demand and considered exclusive items. We recommend close inspection of images prior to placing your purchase. If you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise rare bottles are sold as seen in the images. Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.

Overseas Shipping Caveats

Please read the terms above first as this area is an extension of the UK domestic shipping policy.

Despatch of goods overseas can only be to the registered credit or debit card holders own address. We reserve the right to request payment by international cash transfer in sterling. We regret that at present we are only able to deliver within mainland Europe. However, we may be able to provide one-off services, please contact us.

Parcels are despatched via our shipping partner and we will hold proof of posting that shows when goods were sent out and to which address. Where a signed for service is used then a signature will be required on delivery.

N.B. Refusal to pay the local import duties and taxes and/or lack of response to communications from our carrier to the consignee will result in the goods either being: destroyed by customs; or goods being returned to sender at the cost of the consignee (costs will be deducted from any refund owed).

It is your responsibility to inspect the condition of the parcel when you receive it and to record any findings on the delivery note. If there is damage you must get the courier or Post Office official to authenticate this. We will refund the cost of bottles damaged as a result of inadequate packaging but we must be satisfied that poor packaging is the cause of the damage. Do not refuse or return parcels to us as we will be charged for their return, and we will need to pass this charge on to you. You must notify us of any damage within 24 hours of receiving the parcel. You should contact us using our contact page. You maybe asked to provide photographic evidence of the damaged items.

We are not responsible for any duty or taxes, excise or otherwise, that are incurred after the goods leave our premises. Nor can we refund monies for any goods that are impounded for any reason. It is your responsibility to check with your own excise officials what is required with regards to customs clearance and if there are any special instructions to us please ensure they are absolutely clear.

Rare Bottles

We would recommend close inspection of images prior to placing your purchase. If you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise rare bottles are sold as seen in the images.

By default, rare bottles will be insured for loss up to £100 - however you have the choice to extended courier liability. Charges are based on 4.5% of the cost of the bottle - this is levied on us by our courier. All bottles are packaged in Airsacs which is the industry standard for bottle deliveries, we do not anticipate any issues with packaging.

N.B Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit. All Rare and Sourced Bottles are non-returnable items. Insurance only covers against loss and not glass breakage or leakage of contents.
