Tasting Notes
Nose
Syrupy, salted caramel, ripe plums covered in honey and cinnamon. Lots of wood spice, cloves, leather, tobacco, pastry and black grapes. After leaving in the glass for 15 minutes a dusty/musty note has appeared, adding a different edge to the sweet and spice.
Palate
More syrup and black grapes, big wood spice arrival, oak and wood chips, dark chocolate and a dry red, sweet wine. Lots of nuts, hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts, dark coffee/espresso.
Finish
Long and lingering, more grapes, syrup and spice. Crack black pepper, caramel, tailing off to a slightly drying dark chocolate.
Overall
A very interesting dram and for its 10 years, lots of complexity on the nose considering its youthfulness. It’s very moreish, hard to have a single dram! Only 370 bottles available in a mix of 350ml and 700ml sizes, we believe no more are available for sale.
